I agree with Chiat, the internet is the one place where we are all just internet browsers. Whether we are chosing to be ourselves or someone else we have that power to choose. This is what Chiat is trying to emphasize when he quotes "The internet is our only hope for true democratization..." The internet contributes to our determination of the truth because it has become a powerful tool for communication. When you read things online and how others are responding you are able to determine your personal truth and not rely on the truth presented by those in power.

An experience that taught me what good writing was

The sunlight struck right through the window. It felt warm in the car but not warm enough to have the a/c on. Spring had just begun. It was a beautiful day outside and my mother, sisters and me were on our way to church. Outside the tree leaves swayed back and forth with the gentle breeze. Flowers were beginning to bloom already and the scene was like one from a canvas. My mother began speaking of how all that we were seeing was creation of God. She went on explaining how He was the perfect artist. When we arrived to church we went on to our Sunday school classes. My sisters and I had the same class together and in our class one thing we were going to do is write about why God was good. I was never a fan of writing but Nataly the second to oldest of us three sisters enjoyed it. Everyone in the class was given an opportunity to read aloud what we wrote. My sister had written about our conversation in the car before having arrived to church and how that is why God was good. As she spoke I could listen to my mother speaking. To picture what she wrote was incredible. I felt like I was taken back to our conversation in the car. That is what I define as good writing. If you can savor the scene and just feel like you are there, the writer is gifted with the talent of good writing.
